這是第64天閱讀英文版《傲慢與偏見》。
上篇筆記講到伊莉莎白夸贊賓利是個青年楷模，看簡是怎么接著妹妹的話頭繼續講賓利：
“I was very much flattered by his asking me to dance a second time. I did not expect such a compliment.”
“他第二次請我跳舞，我有點受寵若驚。我沒想到有這樣的恭維。”

這段英語文字有陌生詞，我查閱：
1. flattered
詞性：形容詞（過去分詞作表語）
含義：受寵若驚的；感到榮幸的
用法：描述被再次邀請跳舞時的愉悅與滿足感。
我補充3個例句，體會“glattered”的用法，都是長句子，我是要提高點例句難度，反復的讀幾遍，或者是過一些時間拿出來復習幾遍。

為了更好的理解這個句子，我拆解開讀一遍：

flattered：受寵若驚的；感到榮幸的。
asking me to dance a second time：再次邀請我跳舞。
2. “I did not expect such a compliment.”
“我沒料到會得到這樣的稱贊（指再次被邀請跳舞）”。
compliment：稱贊；恭維。
did not expect：沒想到。
這段文字很短，但描述了簡“受寵若驚+意外的心理”。
這是第一輪閱讀英文版的《傲慢與偏見》，不過多的鑒賞或欣賞，也不過多的思索這本小說里更豐富的東西，只是從頭到尾的先過一遍，知道這本小說每個段落每個篇章講的啥就好。
