本周我們學(xué)習(xí)和性格相關(guān)的詞匯

1. larger-than-life

adj. 受歡迎的；非同一般的；有著傳奇色彩的

e.g. He has a larger-than-life personality, and everyone notices him when he walks into a room.

e.g. One of my teachers had a larger-than-life character, so his classes were never boring.

近義表達(dá)：a big personality 存在感強(qiáng)

e.g. My uncle has a big personality, so family gatherings are always fun.

2. thick-skinned

adj. 心理素質(zhì)比較強(qiáng)；能承受壓力或負(fù)面評(píng)價(jià)的

搭配：develop a thick skin

e.g. If you post videos online, you need to be thick-skinned.

e.g. Over time, I developed a thick skin and stopped worrying about negative comments.

補(bǔ)充：comment: 評(píng)價(jià);評(píng)論

反義補(bǔ)充：thin-skinned adj. 容易被批評(píng)傷害;玻璃心的

e.g. He’s a bit thin-skinned, so he takes criticism personally.

3. a creature of habit

喜歡固定規(guī)律、固定生活方式的人

e.g. I am a bit of a creature of habit, so I don’t like sudden changes.

e.g. I’d say I’m a bit of a creature of habit, because I usually follow the same daily routine.

反義：a free spirit 隨性;不受約束的人

e.g. My cousin is a free spirit who loves traveling around the world.

e.g. I’m not really a free spirit, because I prefer a stable routine.

補(bǔ)充：stable adj. 穩(wěn)定的

4. a creature of habit
