Interpreting the dialogue between heritage and modernity, Danson Residence preserves the 1950s weatherboard home’s charm while redefining urban living. Nestled in Melbourne’s leafy inner suburb, the design harmonizes with the site’s natural slope through stepped terraced planters, erasing boundaries between architecture and landscape. Every detail, from the weathered timber to the rhythmic brickwork, whispers of the past, creating a space that feels both familiar and refreshingly new.

以藝術(shù)視角解讀遺產(chǎn)與現(xiàn)代的對(duì)話，丹森住宅（Danson Residence）在保留 20 世紀(jì) 50 年代木板屋韻味的同時(shí)，重新定義了城市居住體驗(yàn)。它坐落于墨爾本綠意盎然的近郊，通過階梯式花槽與場(chǎng)地自然坡度相融，消弭了建筑與景觀的界限。從風(fēng)化木材到富有韻律的磚墻，每一處細(xì)節(jié)都低語著過往，營造出既親切又嶄新的空間氛圍。

The twin glazed oculus roof voids are the soul of the residence, drawing natural light deep into the interior and framing vistas of treetops. Bathed in soft, diffused sunlight, the living space feels airy and connected to nature, even amid the city bustle. The calming material palette—local clay handmade bricks and warm timbers—echoes the existing home’s era, evoking nostalgia while offering modern comfort. It’s a space where morning coffee by the window feels like a quiet ritual, with light dancing through the glass and leaves rustling in the breeze.
