據(jù)韓聯(lián)社報道,三星電子周五宣布,已與韓國電信運營商KT公司、美國電子測試設備廠商是德科技公司(Keysight Technologies Inc)合作,在未來6G網(wǎng)絡的一個關鍵候選頻段完成超高密度天線技術驗證。
據(jù)三星電子介紹,通過外場測試,三家公司在7吉赫茲(GHz)頻段下,利用Xtreme多輸入多輸出(X-MIMO)技術,實現(xiàn)了最高3吉比特每秒(Gbps)的下行峰值速率(Through outdoor field tests, the companies demonstrated a peak downlink data rate of up to 3 gigabits per second (Gbps) in the 7 gigahertz (GHz) band)。

三星電子研發(fā)出一款集成Xtreme多輸入多輸出(X-MIMO)技術的原型基站,并借助是德科技的6G測試終端,在KT搭建的高度貼近真實場景的通信環(huán)境中完成了技術驗證。
X-MIMO技術即超高密度天線技術,被視作6G的核心關鍵技術之一。該技術將多組天線整合至單一系統(tǒng)中,以此提升信號效率與數(shù)據(jù)吞吐量(X-MIMO, or ultra-high-density antenna technology, is considered a key element of 6G, as it integrates multiple antennas into a single system to improve signal efficiency and data throughput)。

本次測試所采用的7吉赫茲(GHz)頻段,被視為6G核心候選頻譜。相較于商用5G所使用的3.5吉赫茲頻段,該頻段擁有更寬的帶寬;但通常而言,頻率越高,信號衰減越嚴重、覆蓋范圍也越小(because it offers wider bandwidth than the commercial 5G 3.5 GHz band, though higher frequencies typically face greater signal attenuation and shorter coverage)。
三星電子表示,此次測試成果預計將為人工智能(AI)、擴展現(xiàn)實(XR)等數(shù)據(jù)需求快速增長領域的6G通信技術研發(fā)提供有力支撐(Samsung Electronics said the results are expected to support the development of 6G communications in sectors with rapidly growing data demand, including artificial intelligence and extended reality)。
