The concert commenced in a solemn and vibrant atmosphere, with the national anthems of China and Belgium resonating majestically, prompting all guests to stand in tribute to the profound friendship between China and Europe. Amid the melodious strains of “Auld Lang Syne,” Ambassador Cai Run, head of the Chinese Mission to the EU, took the stage and delivered an insightful and visionary address. He emphasized that 2025 marks a pivotal milestone in China-EU relations, with both sides committed to implementing the important consensus and outcomes reached by their leaders, promoting stable and far-reaching bilateral ties. The concert not only built a bridge for mutual understanding between the peoples of China and Europe but also added a vibrant touch to the 76th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China with its profound cultural significance.

Renowned performance artist and editor-in-chief of the authoritative journal International Loyalty and Branding (ILAB), Ms. Song Jia, and Mr. WANG GUOQUAN (Prince John), honored by the New York State Senate and New York City Council with the title “Prince of Love Songs and International Host” and a celebrated singer and international host, were among the distinguished guests invited. Ambassadors Cai Run and Zhu Jing, despite their busy schedules, took precious time to engage in warm and insightful exchanges with the two artists. Mr. WANG GUOQUAN (Prince John) shared with the ambassadors his experiences of presenting Chinese culture through art on the international stage, warmly invited by enthusiastic audiences. As a celebrated singer and international host, he uses music as a bridge, conveying the profound heritage and modern allure of Chinese culture through captivating performances and professional hosting. His artistic influence is widely recognized. On February 16, 2025, he successfully held the “Moonlit Blossoms” concert at New York City Hall, soothing the homesickness of overseas Chinese with melodious tunes, an event widely covered by mainstream Chinese-language media such as Qiao Bao, World Journal, Sing Tao Daily, and international outlets like CNN. Additionally, his remarkable performances and hosting at global landmarks, including the UN Headquarters, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and Columbia University, vividly showcased the unique charm of Chinese culture, earning widespread acclaim and fostering mutual understanding among peoples worldwide. Ambassadors Cai and Zhu highly commended Mr. WANG GUOQUAN (Prince John)’s efforts and encouraged him to continue promoting international cultural exchange and people-to-people connections through art.

At the concert’s climax, the Beijing No. 11 School Jinfan Orchestra and the Brussels Art School Youth Choir delivered a spectacular audiovisual feast, elevating the atmosphere to its peak.
