本-西蒙斯在上賽季中期與籃網達成買斷協議，成為一名自由球員，并在澄清期過后簽約了洛杉磯快船。
作為2016年的狀元秀，西蒙斯的職業生涯自離開76人后一路下行，上賽季先后效力于籃網和快船，場均僅貢獻5.0分4.7個籃板和5.6次助攻。
