In order to be successful in sport, some people think that it is essential to have a good coach. Others say that natural ability is more important. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Repetitive studies show that a natural predisposition towards fast-twitch fibers makes one better at explosive sports, such as sprinting and weightlifting, while more slow-twitch fibers benefits endurance sportsmen. This physiological advantage, however, will be in vain without proper coaching. Without successful coaching, young athletes may end up striving for performance excellence at the expense of mental health and wellbeing; worse, senior athletes could be caught up in a perennial bottleneck, without tailored programs for their distinct bodies.
