年底，暴雪發表2025年年鑒，總結2025年游戲內容，分享有趣數據。其中在探索賽季服，也就是Plus服的部分，寫到“我們正在著手規劃《魔獸世界》經典版的長期未來……”(we got cooking on the long-term future of WoW Classic... ")，圖片的右側畫著幾個加號。由于Plus服已停更，這也被認為是暴雪正在開發新的經典+內容，也就是Plus2.0的暗示，如果一切順利，可能明年的暴雪嘉年華就會官宣。
