當地時間12月18日，一架小型私人飛機在美國北卡羅來納州斯泰茨維爾地區機場墜毀，墜機事故造成7人死亡。當地警方相信死者中包括55歲的美國“納斯卡”（NASCAR，美國全國運動汽車競賽）知名退役賽車手格雷格·比弗爾及其妻子、兒女。
