據(jù)煙臺市人民政府新聞辦公室，在萊州市三山島北部海域新發(fā)現(xiàn)國內(nèi)唯一、亞洲最大的海底巨型金礦，全市累計(jì)探明金資源儲量3900余噸，約占全國的26%，金礦資源儲量和產(chǎn)量均居全國首位。
