企鵝抱團取暖，中心溫度 38℃
帝企鵝在 -40℃的暴風雪中，會形成直徑 10 米的“取暖團”，通過緊湊排列減少熱量散失。群體中心溫度可達 38℃（接近人體正常體溫），而外層企鵝雖然只有 -10℃，但每 50 秒群體就會緩慢移動，讓每只企鵝都有機會進入中心“取暖”。這種群體協作能讓企鵝在極端環境中存活 3 個月，而單獨一只企鵝只能活 15 分鐘。
