奪冠后得知外婆去世，谷愛凌淚涌：“我答應外婆要勇敢”

22日，在米蘭冬奧會上成功衛冕自由式滑雪女子U型場地技巧冠軍、成為冬奧會歷史上獲得金牌和獎牌最多的自由式滑雪運動員后，谷愛凌在賽后新聞發布會上透露，自己剛剛得知外婆去世的消息。談及這一突如其來的變故，她淚灑現場。

發布會臨近結束時，谷愛凌向記者主動表示希望補充一句話。她為自己遲到向媒體致歉，并解釋說：“我之所以來晚，是因為我剛剛得知外婆去世。”

Gu Ailing arrived a few minutes late to her celebratory press conference on Sunday, first having to address a deeply personal matter.

The 22-year-old Gu learned that her grandmother, Feng Guozhen, had passed away, shortly after she captured a record-breaking third Olympic gold medal in freeskiing.

說到此處，谷愛凌開始哽咽。

谷愛凌說，外婆在她成長過程中占據著極其重要的位置，是她始終仰慕的榜樣。“她非常堅強，是一個戰士。”她回憶道，“很多人只是順著生活往前走，但她不是。她像一艘航船，掌舵自己的人生，把生活變成她想要的樣子。”

她透露，在參加本屆冬奧會前，她去探望了病重的外婆，“我知道（她離世）這種情況是有可能發生的”。

"She was a really big part of my life growing up, and someone I looked up to immensely. She was a fighter. And I think what's so interesting is that a lot of people just cruise through life, but she was a steamship. This woman commanded life, and she grabbed it by the reins, and she made it into what she wanted it to be. And she inspired me so much," Gu said.

Gu had known the end might be near, as the last time she saw her grandmother before leaving for the Games, Feng was ill. As such, the freeski star did not promise a victory, but an attitude she would compete with.

"The last time I saw her before I came to the Olympics, she was very sick, so I knew that this was a possibility."

“我沒有向她承諾一定會贏得金牌，但我答應她，我會像她一樣勇敢。”谷愛凌說。

她表示，本屆冬奧會上自己反復提到“相信自己”“敢于冒險”“賭自己”，都與這份承諾有關。“那種勇敢，其實來源于我對她的承諾。”她說。

"I didn't promise her that I was going to win, but I did promise her that I was going to be brave, like she has been brave, and that's why I keep referring to this theme of betting on myself and being brave and taking risks. It actually goes back to that promise that I made my grandma."

米蘭冬奧會，谷愛凌身兼自由式滑雪女子坡面障礙技巧、大跳臺和U型場地技巧三個項目，最終收獲1金2銀。她形容這段經歷“像馬拉松的距離，卻要用百米沖刺的節奏完成”。面對密集賽程下身心高強度消耗的挑戰，她毅然選擇兼項。

“我很高興自己能夠履行那個承諾，希望能讓她為我感到驕傲。”谷愛凌說。

"And so I'm really happy that I was able to uphold that and hopefully do her proud, but it's also a really difficult time for me now," Gu said.
