孫山林出生于1973年，長期在桂林航天工業學院工作，曾任桂林航天工業學院教務處處長、高等教育研究室主任、教師教學發展中心主任，桂林航天工業學院副院長，桂林航天工業學院黨委副書記。
之前擔任桂林航天工業學院黨委副書記、院長的吳盡昭出生于1965年10月，已年滿60周歲。
