當地時間2025年12月31日，美國總統特朗普在其社交媒體“真實社交”發文表示，將從芝加哥、洛杉磯和波特蘭撤走國民警衛隊，“盡管國民警衛隊駐守使當地犯罪率大幅下降”。
特朗普稱，若非聯邦政府介入，波特蘭、洛杉磯和芝加哥早已淪陷，當犯罪率再次開始飆升時（只是時間問題），他們將會回來，且也許會“以一種截然不同、更強大的形式”回來。（央視記者 劉驍騫）
