Kent State男籃在轉會窗口開啟后迅速出手。4月13日，球隊官宣簽下Eastern Michigan前鋒Godslove Nwabude，這位尼日利亞球員將在2026-27賽季身披Golden Flashes戰袍。
Nwabude過去兩個賽季效力于Eastern Michigan，本賽季33場比賽首發30場，場均貢獻5.4分和5.5籃板，另有48次蓋帽和17次搶斷。2月17日對陣Central Michigan時，他砍下生涯最高的16分；11月28日面對NJIT則交出12分14籃板的兩雙數據。
Kent State主帥Rob Senderoff在聲明中表示：「我很高興能引進Godslove這樣有經驗的球員，他在Eastern Michigan的兩年一直在進步，我相信在Kent State他會變得更好。」
值得一提的是，Nwabude此前就讀于Mt. Zion Prep，此次轉會使他成為Kent State本次轉會期的首位引援。而Eastern Michigan則失去了過去兩個賽季的內線主力輪換。
