據新華社消息，美國總統特朗普4月2日宣布，帕姆·邦迪將不再擔任司法部長一職。邦迪成為特朗普第二個總統任期內第二名被解職的內閣成員。
特朗普當天在社交媒體發帖說，邦迪將轉任私營部門工作，具體日期將在近期公布，司法部副部長托德·布蘭奇將代理司法部長一職。

美國媒體報道，特朗普對邦迪的不滿已持續數月，包括認為她對“愛潑斯坦文件”處置不力、對打擊特朗普的政治對手不夠強硬。3月17日，國會眾議院監督與政府改革委員會向邦迪發出傳票，要求她就愛潑斯坦案接受國會閉門質詢。根據傳票要求，邦迪定于4月14日接受該委員會質詢。此前，邦迪已出席過相關聽證會，但未能消除國會兩黨多名議員對司法部的質疑與批評。
