當地時間2月20日上午，在被問及“如果伊朗不達成協議、是否在考慮有限的軍事打擊”時，美國總統特朗普回應稱，“我想我可以說，我正在考慮那件事。”
特朗普2月19日提出“最后期限”，稱伊朗還有10-15天與美國達成協議。有知情人士稱，美軍或于數日內先對伊朗進行一輪“有限打擊”，以迫使伊朗做出讓步。
