Actor Yan Xuejing has issued a public apology following controversial comments she made during a live stream regarding her family's finances, which triggered widespread discussion online.

In the recent broadcast, Yan mentioned that her son earns "just a few hundred thousand yuan" for filming one drama, while the family's annual expenses amount to around one million yuan. She suggested that if his income fell short, it would be difficult to maintain their lifestyle.

The remarks quickly drew criticism, with many accusing the actor of being out of touch with ordinary people.

據紅星新聞報道，1月11日晚，閆學晶在朋友圈發文致歉。

文中提到，“我是閆學晶。我懷著十分沉重的心情，向大家誠懇道歉！”

閆學晶稱，大家批評的，不是“閆學晶說錯話”，而是“閆學晶怎么變成這樣了”。“想到這兒，我開始認真審視自己，這根本不是一句‘沒說對’或者‘沒把握好’那么簡單，而是我的思想出了嚴重的偏差。”

On Sunday evening, Yan posted a lengthy apology on her social media account. "I am Yan Xuejing. With a heavy heart, I sincerely apologize to everyone," she wrote.

She acknowledged that public criticism was not merely about her "poor choice of words", but rather about "how Yan Xuejing has become like this".

"This isn't a matter of speaking carelessly or misjudging the situation — it reflects a serious deviation in my thinking," Yan admitted.

She reflected on her humble beginnings: "I grew up in an ordinary family. It was the support of my hometown folks and the warmth of everyday life that nurtured my artistic career. I thought I would always remember that, but over time, as I grew accustomed to applause and bouquets, I gradually lost touch with my roots. I've seen more of the world, yet unconsciously let it breed a sense of superiority, forgetting where I came from."
