據第一財經4月13日報道，當地時間4月12日凌晨2時許，OpenAI CEO奧特曼位于美國舊金山俄羅斯山的住宅遭遇槍擊。警方趕到現場后逮捕兩名嫌疑人，繳獲3把槍支，二人因過失射擊被登記，調查仍在進行中。而就在4月10日凌晨，同一處房產還曾遭人投擲燃燒瓶，導致外門起火，幸無人員受傷，一名20歲男子已被逮捕。
