IT之家 2 月 24 日消息，汽車媒體 thesupercarblog 于 2 月 22 日發布博文，爆料稱保時捷計劃下月（2026 年 3 月）發布 911 GT3 Cabriolet 運動敞篷跑車。
類似于法拉利下月登場的 Amalfi Spider，消息稱 911 GT3 Cabriolet 可折疊軟頂和特殊的空氣動力套件，采用類似 GT3 RS 的通風口，以及中央帶雙排氣管的運動型后保險杠。此外像標準的 911 Carrera 一樣，911 GT3 Cabriolet 不會采用固定式后翼，其擾流板可以收起。
動力方面，IT之家援引博文介紹，911 GT3 Cabriolet 預估搭載 4.0 升水平對置六缸發動機，輸出 502 馬力，通過 6 速手動或 7 速 PDK 變速箱傳遞至后輪。
