2月20日凌晨，寧忠巖為中國隊獻上米蘭冬奧會第三金。至此，中國速度滑冰隊也以三枚獎牌的戰績，創造自1980年參賽以來單屆冬奧會獎牌數的新高。
在自由式滑雪女子U型場地預賽中，谷愛凌在第一滑失誤摔倒，憑借第二滑86.50分排名第五晉級。李方慧、谷愛凌、張可欣、劉奕杉等四名中國女將全部名列前12位，全員晉級該項目決賽。
