José Ramírez這周把Guardians的紀錄簿翻了個底朝天。4月11日，他在Truist Park轟出一記403英尺的左外野全壘打，對手是勇士隊的Martin Perez——一顆82英里的慢速球被他拉成再見煙花。這顆球的意義在于：Ramírez正式成為隊史首位對全部29支MLB球隊都開轟過的球員。
換句話說，Guardians建隊百年，從Terry Turner到Jim Thome，沒人做到過這件事。Ramírez用13年職業生涯，287支全壘打，把自己寫進了這個空白。他生涯對老虎和白襪轟最多，各35支；皇家32支，雙城27支——全是美聯中區的老冤家。
「Proud of myself，」Ramírez賽后說，「Thank God for that, but I'm really proud of that accomplishment.」
這已經不是他本周第一次改寫歷史。4月6日，33歲的他才剛以1620場出賽打破Terry Turner保持了108年的隊史紀錄。一周之內，兩個「隊史第一」，中間只隔了5天。
